Rang at the weekend and left a message - guess you were busy buildling and
ark with this weather......Bl**dy Melbourne people keep sending us all their
rain!!!! Got soaked to the skin this morning...decided to bus it given the
loons in cars that have been rear ending each other over the weekend.
Figured the bike would stand no chance.
Was OK until just before work when a truck went thru the biggest puddle I've
seen in ages. Result one drowned rat!!!!. At least I can get to wear theatre
blues while my clothes dry out. Now I look like a real doctor!! Even have my
own stethoscope. It was being tossed out because the membrane was stuffed so
I scored some Mylar from the workshop and cut my own membrane. I can now sit
and listen to all the internal rattles in all my bikes and cars and then lay
awake at night wondering what is packing up.
Was at a booze up Saturday and a guy there was looking for a bike to do the
Rusty Nuts run (bikes <$500) mentioned you were selling a couple - price
unknown and he thought if they were at the right price he could build one
bike out of 2 and sell the bits off to keep the overall price under $500. If
you want to haggle with him give me a bell tonight and I'll pass on your
phone number to him. Might even buy the CBR shock myself if he does not want
it...that could help the price? Youll have to keep a regulator/rectifier or
something so that you can still claim an affinity with RC17s
Chickened out on Track Time yesterday...more rain. Next event the Classic
Bikes on 7th and Paeroa Street Races about 22nd...are you up for either?
