I hadn't heard of damping oil either, but the guy who did it specialises in
speedometer repairs and was recommended to me by the local Honda shop. I
guess I am presuming that he knew what he was talking about, otherwise, it
was just (expletive deleted)!!
Anyway, the speedo goes really well now. It cost me $96NZ to have repaired
compared with more than $600NZ for a new one, if you can get one over here.
