Hi Malcolm,
Mine used to do that!Started off intermittent,then went all the way.Take a
look at your main fuse(near the battery in its own little box).It's one of
those flat plate like fuses.Mine was in 2 pieces,but it hadn't blown,but
actually corroded into 2 halves.The bike only worked if they were
touching!Cost next to bugger all to fix and never let me down since.This
might be your problem.
